Letter from Rosa

Hi friend,

If you feel like you need to set your prayer life goals a bit higher, then welcome to the club! Welcome to Prayer Push!

With busy lives that are filled with unexpected emergencies and daily commitments, we can easily minimize our prayer life. I have found that to be a mistake. Over the past few years, I have made a real effort to establish an ongoing conversation with God throughout each day, and it has been very rewarding. God and I begin our daily conversation in my morning devotions. It is just me and Him, and it is such a special time.

I continue my conversation with God throughout my day while walking the dogs (Preacher and Clyde), while working out, while driving, while on the metro, while at work and throughout my other daily activities. Having a two-way conversation with God throughout my day has strengthened our relationship. I can truly say that God is my best friend.

Though I have made improvements, I realize I have much more praying to do. Maybe you feel the same way. I started Prayer Push to help myself and others continue to beef up our prayer lives. Our ministry encourages Christ-followers to become well-rounded prayer warriors, pray in one accord, memorize Scripture, and promote unity within the Body of Christ.

Though I cannot pray with each of you in person, I know that I can pray with each of you in Spirit. The Bible says in Matthew 18:19, “…That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” Based on that promise, it is my hope that you will join me in praising God, thanking God, repenting of sins, identifying with Christ, making bold requests to God, interceding for others and actively listening to God.

I believe that praying the Word of God is the most powerful type of prayer that we can pray. Know that as you pray our daily prayer, you are praying alongside other Christ-followers who are coming into agreement with you. More importantly, as we pray the Word of God, we are coming into agreement with God. I am believing God for miracles. I hope that you are too.

Biography:

Rosa Brown was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. She completed her K-4 to 12th grade education at a local Christian school—Eastside Baptist Church School. She received an Associates degree from Santa Fe Community College. She received her double B.A. in English and Criminology from the University of Florida and completed her Juris Doctorate at Stetson University, College of Law. Rosa now lives in the Washington, DC metro area where she works as a contract attorney.

In her spare time, Rosa loves to spend time with her sweet greyhounds Preacher and Clyde. She enjoys boxing, kickboxing, power lifting and being physically active. Whether hiking, kayaking or running, she enjoys spending time in God’s Creation.

Ms. Brown is blessed to have had the opportunity to sit under amazing Bible teachers throughout her life. Her father, who is now deceased, was a Chaplain at the Florida State Prison, and her mother is a Bible teacher and a retired teacher. Also, she has three older sisters who love God and minister to their own communities.
