The Bible

The Bible is the infallible Word of God. The Scriptures were written by men under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is alive, active and relevant to our lives today.

2 Timothy 3:16 – All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Peter 1:20-21-Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Trinity

There is one God. God reveals Himself as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit have equal power.

John 10:30 – I and my father are one.

Philippians 2:5-7 – Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

John 14:26 – But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Man

Man is created in the image of God, but sin separates man from God. Jesus Christ is the only way for man to establish a relationship with God.

Genesis 1:27 – So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Timothy 2:5 – For there is one God, and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.

Salvation

We can have a personal relationship with God through salvation. Salvation is a free gift to any person who wants it. Salvation is solely a result of God’s grace. A person can receive salvation by admitting they are a sinner in need of forgiveness, believing that Jesus Christ died for them on the cross and rose from the grave, confessing that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and committing to live for Jesus Christ for the rest of their life.

Ephesians 2:8-9 – For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 3:24 – Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

Romans 10:9-10 – That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
